(SCROLL DOWN TO READ THIS IN ENGLISH) Atención vecinos de la ciudad de Coral Springs y otras 16 municipalidades del condado, la División de Administración y Planeación de recursos naturales del condado de Broward se ha asociado con estas ciudades para formar el llamado: ” Broward Water Partnership”. El objetivo principal de este programa es distribuir reembolsos por el uso de inodoros (toilets, en inglés) que consuman menos agua y de esta manera motivar a los residentes a conservar.
La medida esta destinada a ayudar a reducir el uso de agua potable, para suplir la futura demanda de este líquido vital en las comunidades.
“Gracias por proveer esta oportunidad”, dijo Rose-Marie Botting, residente de Coral Springs. “Empecé a notar cómo bajó mi factura de agua y motivo urgentemente a todos los residentes a explorar la opción de cambiar todos sus inodoros viejos por los más eficientes”, anotó.
Los residentes deben aplicar y ser pre-aprobados antes de comprar los inodoros eficientes, para poder solicitar el reembolso. El límite es de dos por hogar o hasta $100 dólares por cada uno, lo que cueste menos.

County offers rebates to residents for installing high-efficiency toilets
Coral Springs, along with 16 other municipalities and water utilities, has partnered with Broward County’s Natural Resources Planning and Management Division to form the Broward Water Partnership.
The main objective of this incentive program is to distribute toilet rebates while engaging residents in water conservation practices. This helps reduce potable water use so that future water supply demand may be met.
Qualifying residents must apply and be pre-approved before purchasing toilets or they may not be reimbursed. There is a limit of two rebates per household for up to $100 each, or the cost of the toilet, whichever is less.
“Thank you so much for providing this opportunity…I noticed a decrease in my water bill. I urge all residents to explore the possibility of changing their old toilets for newer water efficient ones,” Coral Springs resident Rose-Marie Botting said.
