BROWARD COUNTY, FL – COVID-19 has introduced uncertainty in our global economy, but it does not have to change anyone’s dreams of starting a new business or aspirations to grow an existing business. The Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development announces its fall session of workshops to help startup and early stage entrepreneurs stay focused on their goals. The Intentional Entrepreneur™ and Listening to Your Business™ are FREE workshops designed to guide aspiring and existing business owners on the path to success.

“We understand that you may need to pivot due to the current times, and our Entrepreneurship Program is here to assist you,” said Sandy McDonald, Director of the Office of Economic and Small Business Development. “The program will be offered virtually this year which allows us to continue providing these services to the local community in spite of the pandemic.”

FastTrac® The Intentional Entrepreneur™ is a virtual workshop that will be held on Thursday, October 15 at 10AM and Wednesday, November 18 at 6PM. As a Kauffman FastTrac® affiliate, OESBD hosts The Intentional Entrepreneur™ program to help guide participants though the process of new business consideration, exploring and planning. This interactive session provides tools to examine both the emotional and practical aspects of business ownership.

FastTrac® Listening to Your Business™ is a virtual workshop designed to help business owners establish a three-year vision. Sessions will be held on Wednesday, October 21 at 6PM and Thursday, November 12 at 10AM. This course guides participants though the process of reflection, visioning, and planning.

The Office of Economic and Small Business Development invites the public to stay tuned in 2021, for the return of FastTrac® NewVenture™, the free 10-week program designed to guide entrepreneurs on the path to success by identifying the components of a strong business plan. The program also affords access to the appropriate resources to launch a startup. An information session will be held in advance of the opening of the application period for this competitive program.

Interested participants must register online at bcoesbd.eventbrite.com. The Intentional Entrepreneur™ and Listening to Your Business™ are FREE and open to Broward County residents. For more information on the Kauffman FastTrac® program, contact OESBD at 954-357-6400 or visit online.
