BSO Celebrates Life with Children Battling Life Threatening Illnesses

(TODAY) noon – 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, Ride2Revive at the Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is happy to join forces with MyWish4U and Prestige Imports to provide a fun-filled say for dozens of children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The children are participants in MyWish4U’s Winter Camp, which provides two full weeks of fun for the kids and their families. In addition to the kids from South Florida and other parts of the U.S., there’s a group of kids that travelled here from Israel, to join in the activities.

Prestige Imports is hosting Ride2Revive this afternoon, bringing out their luxurious cars for the kids to ride in. BSO will be rolling out its toys. We will have BSO vehicles, SWAT and Fire Rescue trucks, horses from our mounted unit, BSO bloodhound and helicopter.

MyWish4U’s Winter Camp began Jan. 27 with a week at the theme parks in Orlando. The kids headed south this week for the second part of their visit where they will be participating in various activities throughout South Florida.

The Winter Camp culminates with the organization’s 6th Annual Fundraising Gala Feb. 9, where Sheriff Scott Israel will be recognized for his support of MyWish4U’s mission.

MyWish4You, a non-profit, volunteer-based organization is focused on motivating children who are battling pediatric cancers and life-threatening illnesses to continue their fight to survive. They provide year-round activities for the children.

We are happy to participate in any way we can to make this trip special for this special group of kids.
We hope you find interest in this story and will join us.
