The Children’s Services Council of Broward County (CSC) is proud to announce the selection of Dr. David Kenton as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 1st. With a proven track record of leadership and a deep commitment to improving the lives of children and families, David brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to CSC as it continues to advance its mission of ensuring that all children in Broward County grow up healthy, safe, and successful.
Dr. Kenton joins CSC with years of experience in leadership, having previously served as the Dean of Students Services at Broward College. He is known for work in systems optimization, operations management, and partnership engagement which will be invaluable as CSC navigates the Boward landscape in the coming years. David succeeds Monti Larsen as COO. Mrs. Larsen is the first COO of CSC, and was instrumental in establishing the foundation of the organization and is an inspiration to the mission and vision of CSC.

As COO, Dr. Kenton will oversee the day-to-day operations of CSC, working closely with the leadership team to implement strategic initiatives, enhance processes, and ensure that CSC’s programs and relationships are aligned with its mission and goals.

The Children’s Services Council of Broward County is dedicated to providing a continuum of care for children and families in Broward County. Through its funding and support of a wide range of programs, CSC ensures that children have access to quality programming, health services, and the resources they need to thrive.
The Children’s Services Council of Broward County is an independent taxing authority established by a public referendum on September 5, 2000, and reauthorized on November 4, 2014, which, through Public Act, Chapter 2000-461 of the laws of Florida, authorizes the Council to levy up to 0.5 mills of property taxes. The role of the Council is to provide the leadership, advocacy, and resources necessary to enhance children’s lives and empower them to become responsible, productive adults through collaborative planning and funding of a continuum of quality care.
