Comunidad de Coral Springs dedicará nueva estación de bomberos

(See English below) El viernes 17 de agosto se llevará a cabo la apertura de la estación de bomberos # 71 a las 5pm.  Construida en 1976, es la segunda estación que se construyó en la ciudad y la más activa. Inicialmente se hizo para los bomberos voluntarios, por eso carecía de los dormitorios, espacio de entrenamiento o equipo adecuado.

La nueva estación contiene 7.000 pies cuadrados con las últimas facilidades, incluyendo almacenamiento de equipos y espacio para entrenamiento. La construcción se inició en enero de este año y se terminó dentro del tiempo y el presupuesto previsto.

“Queremos que los residentes y la comunidad de negocios sea parte de esta ceremonia de apertura”, dijo el Jefe de Bomberos Mark Curran.

Se invita a las familias con niños a asistir a un tour a la estación ese viernes 17, en su local del 11800 NW 41 Street, dentro del Corporate Park.

City hosts Fire Station 71 dedication and ribbon cutting

A ribbon cutting ceremony and dedication ceremony for the new Fire Station 71 is set for Friday, August 17 at 5 p.m.

Fire Station 71, built in 1976, is the second oldest and second busiest station in Coral Springs. Initially, it was intended to service volunteer firefighters and, as a result, it was not built with the proper sleeping quarters, training space or equipment.

The new fire station will contain approximately 7,000 square feet in floor area, three bays, and state-of-the-art bi-fold doors. Additional space will be used to store protective equipment and for training. Construction began in January 2012 and was completed on schedule and under budget.

“We look forward to having the residents and local business community be part of this opening ceremony,” Fire Chief Mark Curran said.

Families with children are encouraged to attend as a station tour will follow the ribbon cutting ceremony. The station is located at 11800 N.W. 41 Street, within the Corporate Park.
