El 24 de agosto se celebrará Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción 2018

Reconocimiento especial para la pionera Latina 2007, la congresista Ileana Ros Lehtinen

No hay nada más emocionante que pasar una tarde en el sur de la Florida en honor a 12 latinas que han contribuido a las comunidades de la mencionada zona. Se trata del evento Mujeres Hispanas de Distinción,  un homenaje especial que se realizará el 24 de agosto en Signature Grand en Davie. Estas profesionales latinas están fortaleciendo el tejido social de este país y avanzando en la línea de liderazgo para una América cada vez más diversa. Este año, más de 60 nominaciones fueron presentadas por homenajeados anteriores, líderes comunitarios y grupos sin fines de lucro.

Presentado por Latina Style Magazine , el líder nacional en negocios de mujeres hispanas, en asociación con Bank of America y AARP , Florida, el evento incluye un “mojito” y subasta silenciosa, desfile de modas diseñado por Karnna Fashion Lab y una exposición comercial patrocinada por AARP, posibilidades reales . Los homenajeados anteriores abrirán el espectáculo.

 El evento beneficia a Habitat for Humanity Broward, que une a las personas para construir hogares, comunidades y esperanza. Habitat Broward se ha asociado con más de 400 familias trabajadoras y de bajos ingresos para hacer realidad el sueño de tener una casa propia. Se ofrece una mano arriba, una mano a las familias de bajos ingresos que no pueden acceder a la financiación convencional y están dispuestos a trabajar duro para mejorar la vida de sus familiares. Construir las mujeres, un programa Hábitat que elevará 12 viviendas para familias.  Un Caso de la Comunidad Rick Hábitat en Pompano Beach, que ofrece 77 viviendas de Hábitat y un parque de la comunidad cuando se complete. La pionera Latina para 2007, la congresista Ileana Ros Lehtinen, será honrada en el escenario por Robert Bard, editor de la revista Latina Style con sede en Washington, DC. La congresista anunció su retiro este otoño después de más de 35 años de servicio notable al sur Florida y los Estados Unidos de América.

The 2018 Hispanic Women of Distinction to celebrate Community, Culture and Charity

Special recognition for 2007 Latina Pioneer, Congresswoman Ileana Ros Lehtinen

 

There is nothing more exciting than to spend a South Florida afternoon honoring 12 Latinas who have contributed to the south Florida communities and a Latina Pioneer for 2018.   The Hispanic Women of Distinction Charity luncheon to be held on August 24th at Signature Grand in Davie, Florida is expected to be another sell-out of 1,000 guests paying tribute to Latina professionals who are strengthening the social fabric of this country and making inroads in the leadership pipeline for a growingly diverse America.  This year, more than 60 nominations were submitted by prior honorees, community leaders and non-profit groups.

 

Presented by Latina Style Magazine the nation’s leader in Hispanic women business, in partnership with Bank of America and AARP, Florida, the event includes a complimentary “mojito” and silent auction, designer runway fashion show presented by Karnna Fashion Lab and a business expo sponsored by AARP, Real Possibilities.  Past honorees will open the show and strut the 140 foot runway to get the excitement started.

 

The event benefits Habitat for Humanity Broward which brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat Broward has partnered with more than 400 hard-working, low-income families to make the dream of home ownership possible. It offers a hand-up, not a hand-out to low income families who are unable to qualify for conventional financing and are willing to work hard to improve their family’s lives. Women Build, a signature Habitat program, will raise 12 homes for families this fall in its newest, largest community: A Rick Case Habitat Community in Pompano Beach, featuring 77 Habitat homes and a community park when complete.
