Mia’s Summer Shell-A-Bration

At Mia’s Summer Shell-A-Bration, families can immerse themselves in a fun-filled day of entertainment, education and activities, including free face painting, a “Seagrass Walk” Scavenger Hunt, photo opportunities with Mia the Manatee, indoor and outdoor games and food trucks.

 

Wild about Wildlife Virtual Summer Camp

Week 2: July 7th – 11th, 2025

Manatee Lagoon’s FREE week-long virtual camp offers an engaging at-home learning experience, helping kids explore wildlife conservation and ecology from anywhere. Half-day morning schedules are filled with animal observations, experiments, games, crafts and educational lessons hosted by educators from Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, The Reef Institute and Manatee Lagoon. Camp sessions featured a mix of live, pre-recorded and do-at-your-own-pace content.

 

Sensory Saturdays

Manatee Lagoon is a proud certified autism friendly business. To create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all our visitors, we offer FREE sensory kits, sensory-friendly hours, and social narratives to help prepare for a visit to Manatee Lagoon. Once a month, we will open one hour early for Sensory Saturday and our exhibit will be modified with low lighting and reduced noise.

 

Manatee Tales Story Time

Every other Saturday

10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Offers young learners a fun and educational experience. Every other Saturday, a Manatee Master led a kid-friendly tour of Manatee Lagoon, followed by a themed story time and a related take-home craft.
