“Taste of Promenade” to benefit Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center

Enjoy tasty dishes and sumptuous prix-fixe menus while raising funds for a noble cause

(Coconut Creek, FL. Oct. 3, 2017) In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Promenade at Coconut Creek and Sylvester Comprehensive Center at Deerfield Beach invite the public to dine on delicious dishes and tasty prix-fixe menus, all for a noble cause.
The Taste of Promenade is part of a weeklong initiative, the Power of Pink, which will raise muchneeded awareness and funds for Sylvester at Deerfield Beach, part of the University of Miami Health System. Our restaurants and eateries have carefully selected items and curated mouth-watering prix-fixe menus that will entice the palate. This initiative will run Monday, October 16 through
Sunday, October 22, with a percentage of sales, from each item and menu, sold, to benefit Sylvester at Deerfield Beach. Two restaurants – Ciao Cucina and Ethos Greek Bistro – have graciously stepped up and will be offering their menu throughout the entire month of October.
Hill Partners Inc. President Robert H. Spratt, Jr. said, “We are excited to partner with Sylvester at Deerfield Beach for this great initiative. Located only minutes away from Promenade at Coconut Creek, we are lucky to have such a world-renowned cancer center right in our community.”

“The funds raised through the initiative will help build a wellness center at Sylvester,” continued Spratt. “This partnership would help develop a much-needed space for patients and families to focus on living well with cancer and survivorship.”
Kathryn Bailey, RN, MSN, MBA, director of the satellite practice at Sylvester at Deerfield Beach, said, “We are so grateful and excited to be partnering with the philanthropic shops and restaurants at Promenade at Coconut Creek. We hope to bring much awareness to Sylvester and raise the funds we need to be able to build the wellness center, which is crucial to the wellbeing of our patients and their families.”

Kicking off this weeklong fundraising initiative on Monday, October 16 will be Cold Stone Creamery/Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory with an “Everyone Should Have a Dessert First,” event. A percentage of sales from the entire day will benefit Sylvester.
Various eateries and retailers are also participating in the fundraising efforts, by donating 10 percent of sales from select items back to Sylvester. These include 160°/The Muffuletta, Salad Creations, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, and The Batter Co. Dessert Collection. On Saturday, October 21, Orangetheory Fitness members will donate “Pennies for Calories.” In addition, the Vivian Auld Boutique will donate a percentage of evening sales from Friday and Saturday.

For the entire month of October, Ethos Greek Bistro and Ciao Cucina and Bar will be offering the prix-fixe menu for both lunch and dinner. Some of the Ethos’ lunch and dinner choices include a glass of White or Red Wine, grilled Kefte, grilled Salmon, Skirt Steak and for dessert, Baklava. Some of the selections from the Ciao Cucina lunch menu include a glass of White or Red Sangria and a choice of Sautéed Shrimp, Grilled Chicken or Chicken Milanese. For dinner, patrons can choose from a selection of Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Polenta Fries, Seared Ahi Tuna, Dry Aged Ribeye, Grilled Bronzino or Short Rib Rigatoni.
World of Beer is offering special dinner choices for patrons to choose from, including Fish and Tots, a German Pretzel with House made Beer Cheese, Steak Frites, Salted Caramel Cookie Skillet or an Apple Cobbler Flatbread for dessert. This menu also includes the choice of two glasses of wine, two signature cocktails or two beers, per person.

Bottega Wine Bar is offering various dinner items to support the cause including Bruschetta, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Parmesan Tortellini. Guests can also enjoy a choice of two glasses of wine or an entire bottle for only $10 more. Patrons are encouraged to ask about the menu items, and the prix-fixe menus offered that benefit this noble cause and fundraising efforts. Participating restaurants and eateries will donate 10 percent from each item or menu sold to Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.
