
From the page to the stage, Miami’s top spoken word artists unite in a SUPER session of beats, words and rhyme celebrating National Poetry Month. Witness poets transform their words into performances that remind us all the integral role poetry and spoken word play in our culture. The evening will be hosted by rapper and spoken word artist Just John, and community ambassador, performing artist and cultural curator Deborah Magdalena, and features Byrd the Poet, Nyah Hardmon, Chaos Theory, The Florida Freedom Writers, and much more! In celebration of Earth Day and through puppetry, City of Trash explores sustainability with a look at trash – what it is and how we create it. The City of Trash virtual puppet show will be followed by an interactive workshop where the audience will build puppets using pieces of trash and found objects. Virtual audience members will repurpose items from the garbage or recycling bin. Recommended for ages 7+. To RSVP and for more information.
