Today more than 900 guests honored 12 Latinas who have contributed to the south Florida communities and a Latina Pioneer for 2018.
Sponsored by AARP, Bank of America and Latina Style magazine, among other organizations, the gala was a huge success.
From the silent auction to the fashion show and the presentation of the honorees (past and present) on the runway, it was an afternoon that lifted all hearts.
The Hispanic Women of Distinction Charity luncheon at Signature Grand in Davie, highlighted 12 ladies from 60 nominations.
“What the women have in common and is a major part of the judging process, is their American entrepreneurship intertwined with their values and traditions. They represent a cross-section of creative disciplines that are changing the face of American culture. “, says in a statement Elaine Vazquez, founder and director of the charity awards.
This year the event benefited Habitat for Humanity Broward ( habitatbroward.org)
and recognize as Latina Pioneer, Congresswoman Ileana Ros Lehtinen.
